You’re invited to attend WOMANZ members and friends to commemorate Waitangi Day. Register your attendance for an evening of celebration, networking and an exciting Kapa Haka performance for a unique celebration of what has become New Zealand’s national day.
Always a stirring and memorable event, this is an opportunity not to be missed. Waitangi Day 2023 marks the 183 anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand’s founding document. Signed on February 6th 1840 by representatives of the British Crown and over 500 Maori chiefs, this document made New Zealand a part of the British Empire, guaranteed Maori rights to their land and gave Maori the rights of British subjects.
