You’re invited to commemorate Waitangi Day with fellow WOMANZ members and friends to enjoy an evening of celebration, guest speakers, networking and an exciting Kapa Haka performance.
Always a stirring and memorable event for Kiwis away from their homeland, this is an opportunity not to be missed. Waitangi Day 2026 marks the 186th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand’s founding document. Signed on February 6th 1840 by representatives of the British Crown and over 500 Maori chiefs, this document made New Zealand a part of the British Empire, guaranteed Maori rights to their land and gave Maori the rights of British subjects.
